BOTHELL -- Verdeaux offers "an investment of a lifetime for the move-down or move-up buyer," says Sherri Alfaro, the condominium community's listing agent.
Located off Interstate 405 near Bothell and Woodinville, the 96-home community is in the final stage of selling. Alfaro says seven homes remain for sale at prices starting at $229,950.
Recent homebuyers Scott and Eloisa Shogreen say they appreciate the level of finishes and features available at this price point.
"We are living the dream without paying double what [the home is] worth," says Scott Shogreen, a parttime tennis pro and stay-at-home dad. "Down the road, I know our Verdeaux home will be one of the better purchases of our lives."
Alfaro says many home shoppers see this as a buyer's market and are choosing to invest at a premium location and attractive price point.
"Taken in conjunction with the development's quality construction and long list of amenities, owners know they have bought a home that will serve them well for a very long time," she says.
Verdeaux has a secure underground parking garage, a playground, a cabana and tennis courts. Residents appreciate the community's park-like setting and its proximity to Eastside shopping and recreation.
The homes at Verdeaux include two bedrooms, two baths and balconies off the living rooms. Many homes have dens, open flex spaces and additional covered decks off the master suites.
Finishes include rosewood or bamboo flooring, slab granite countertops and eating bars, and natural wood cabinetry in a mocha- or mulberry-stain finish. The homes have 9-foot ceilings and gas fireplaces and extra storage.
"We love it here, and we couldn't have found a better location," Shogreen says. "Best of all, I can sleep at night knowing it was a smart purchase."
