SEATTLE -- Escala has passed the 70-percent-sold milestone following several recent sales. The downtown high-rise has now sold 194 homes.

"The building is bustling with activity -- it really has a life of its own now," says Erik Mehr, the sales director at Escala. "We're back to the days where a home is a home, not just an investment. Everything must align -- price, location, finishes. It's a big decision and value is paramount. For the downtown homebuyer, Escala has it all."

Mehr says Escala's F Plan "has sold incredibly well" and four of the homes remain for sale. Priced from $1.599 million, the three-bedroom, 2.5-bath homes have more than 2,400 square feet of living space and wrap each corner of the building from floors 25-29. They have city views and include a 531-square-foot covered terrace.

"These are high-end homes with a price point to match," says Mehr. "They must have the quality that buyers in this bracket are accustomed to. With the additional height of the ceilings at 10.5 feet and the outdoor living space, the F Plan accommodates their needs nicely."

All of the homes at Escala have open floor plans and hardwood flooring throughout the dining, living and kitchen areas. The homes feature Pedini cabinets, slab granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, Kohler sinks and faucets, ceiling heights of at least 9.5 feet and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Homes on floors 20-29 have Thermador or Gaggenau stainless steel appliances, gas cooking and at least one covered terrace for year-round entertaining.
High-end buyers looking for city and water views and a smaller square footage are encouraged to consider Escala's 1,878-square-foot E Plan. Prices for the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath homes start at $1.25 million.

"As soon as buyers enter our west-facing model home, they go straight to the windows -- it's magnetic," says Mehr.

Homes with the E Plan are located in the middle of the tower on floors 20-29 and offer an east or west outlook. The living space is between two bedroom suites, which is ideal for buyers with frequent guests or who need an office space.

Building amenities include a fitness center, two stationary lap pools, five spa-treatment rooms, a screening room, a wine-cave dining room with adjacent bottle storage, a dog run, a car-wash bay and an outdoor terrace.

"This is a beautiful building in a fantastic location with some of the most spacious homes and decks of any downtown condominium," Mehr says. "Buyers understand this is a great opportunity, and they have made Escala their top choice."
