NEWCASTLE -- In less than 90 days, nearly 60 percent of the homes at ViewPoint have been sold. Located in the heart of Newcastle, the collection of three-bedroom-plus-den and four-bedroom townhomes and paired homes are move-in ready and offer westerly outlooks of downtown Bellevue and summer sunset views.
"We've had six sales in the last three weeks," says Jeff Smallwood, vice president of marketing for Intracorp, the homebuilder at ViewPoint.
He says one of the reasons homebuyers have been drawn to ViewPoint is its well-connected address. The neighborhood is located minutes from The Golf Club at Newcastle, and homeowners can walk to shops and everyday conveniences such as Starbucks, QFC, Safeway, Jet City Pizza and a newly opened YMCA.
Homebuyers can choose from four floor plans that measure from 1,600 to more than 1,900 square feet and feature either great-room layouts or separate living and dining spaces. The homes at ViewPoint are arranged in a cul-de-sac and include side-by-side two-car garages and master suites with five-piece baths and walk-in closets.
Some homes have private studies on the main level, and others include open office lofts on the second floor. Several offer private rear-yard areas.
"There is also a lot of open space between homes for added privacy, and the master suites are huge -- they take up the entire width of the second floor," Smallwood says. "To take advantage of the outlooks, we incorporated 9-foot ceilings and loads of oversized windows, making the spaces really light and bright."
Interiors feature natural hardwood cabinetry and flooring, designer lighting packages, gas fireplaces, granite countertops, and energy-efficient gas heat and water heaters. Gourmet kitchens balance style and function with islands or breakfast bars and stainless steel appliances, including gas cooktops.
"The finishes are extraordinary in today's market," Smallwood says.
The city of Newcastle hosts a number of community events throughout the year. Lake Boren is the site of open-air concerts in July and August, and September marks the city's annual Newcastle Days celebration with music, food, children's activities and a car show.
ViewPoint offers quick access to Interstate 405 for commutes into downtown Bellevue, which is 6.5 miles away.
