REDMOND -- Hazelwood is a collection of 76 three- to five-bedroom homes set amid more than 5.5 acres of greenbelts, parks and open space.

Built by CamWest, a Toll Brothers company, the community is located within walking distance of conveniences such as Starbucks and PCC Natural Markets.
All of the homes at Hazelwood are being sold presale, and four homes were sold during June.

"You will be able to move into your new home as early as late summer or mid-fall," says Jamie Ham, the listing agent at Hazelwood. "This is a great opportunity for personalizing and customizing your spaces through the CamYes! program. Homeowners work one-on-one with the community's project manager from purchase through move-in."

Buyers can choose from 17 home designs, including daylight-basement and two- and three-story homes. Each design has up to four exterior-elevation options.

Greg Wright, his wife Christina and their two children moved into a new home at Hazelwood a year ago from another CamWest community in Kirkland.

"We had been shopping around and decided to expand our search into the Redmond area, and that's when we saw the new CamWest community," Wright says. "It met all of our criteria, so buying a home here was a no-brainer.

"We like CamWest's use of space -- their floor plans are very nice. One of the biggest reasons we purchased our home at Hazelwood was because it has a full bath and a good-size bedroom on the first floor."

Wright says when they bought their home at Hazelwood, it was already complete and had just come on the market. "Even though it was finished, we asked for a few enhancements and they made them, no problem," he says.

Community amenities at Hazelwood include two parks -- one has a half-court basketball court and a play structure, and the other offers benches and shaded paths among heritage trees. A trail at the back of the community connects to the Sammamish River Trail.

"On one side of our home is a park and on the other is protected green space. When it's hot outside, the wind blows through the trees and cools everything down," Wright says. "It's also very quiet, which we really like."

Hazelwood's location off Avondale Road places the neighborhood between state Route 520 and Interstate 405 for multiple commute routes. For families with school-age children, the community is in the Lake Washington School District.

"We're also 15 minutes to the Microsoft campus and six minutes to Redmond Town Center," Ham says.

Toll Brothers is among the nation's leading builders of luxury homes. Its recent purchase of CamWest Development, LLC -- which has been building homes locally for more than 20 years -- expands the company's reach to the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1967, Toll Brothers is now building homes in 20 states.

Toll Brothers was rated No. 1 in 2011 and 2010 for Financial Soundness, Long-Term Investment and Quality of Products/Services in the homebuilding category of Fortune magazine's annual World's Most Admired Companies survey.
