WEST SEATTLE -- With Halloween just around the corner, Sylvan Townhomes has added a "paws-itively" bewitching twist to its grand opening this weekend.
Along with walk-through tours of its fully furnished three-level model home, the staff at Sylvan Townhomes is hosting a "Bow-Wow-Ween" canine costume contest today with a $100 cash prize.
It's a natural for the townhome community with not only a pet-friendly attitude, but a popular West Seattle location as well. Sylvan Townhomes is located near at least five walkable neighborhoods, adding character to the favorite hot spots nearby.
"All of our early sneak-peek guests have been telling us that West Seattle is the newest 'it' place to be," says Gwen Nicholson, a sales representative at The Excell Group. "A lot of people who want to live at Sylvan Townhomes are driven by the lifestyle factor. We have so much to do here."
Residents can enjoy waterfront recreation with views and cuisine at Alki Beach, or visit nearby Admiral Junction for a movie, salon service or groceries ranging from organic to upscale. Just blocks from West Seattle's popular year-round Sunday farmers market, the Alaska Junction neighborhood has bakeries, breweries, bistros and places to quench a cupcake craving. Work out or grab a quick dinner-on-the-go at Westwood Village, or sip a favorite beverage at Morgan Junction.
"There is so much going on," Nicholson says. "Everywhere you turn, there are restaurants and juice bars, yoga studios and coffee shops."
Sylvan Townhomes offers two- and three-bedroom floor plans that range from 1,414 to 1,963 square feet.
"Each home's interior will be artfully crafted with designer colors, plank-style flooring, stainless appliances and beautiful beech cabinets," Nicholson says. "These are clean and contemporary finishes from a warm designer palate. We've used every inch of space to give our homeowners the maximum use for storage and living."
Seven plans offer optional powder rooms and home offices, decks, kitchen islands and third bedrooms that can be used as recreation-room space. Each plan offers a master suite on the upper level and a second bedroom with its own bath. Some also offer a den. Garage parking is on the lowest level.
Some homes back up to a protected greenbelt, offering "lots of privacy," Nicholson says.
"For those new to West Seattle, our early guests have been telling us that they're happy to see that Sylvan Townhomes offers a peaceful, colorful cluster of row homes that has that feeling they're looking for: an oasis near the city, where there are sidewalks and a place where they can feel good while they're out walking their dog," she says.
And for those already familiar with West Seattle?
"People are incredibly loyal to their community here," Nicholson says. "They love it and don't ever want to leave the neighborhood."
