REDMOND — Four homes have sold in the past two weeks at Hazelwood, and 13 homes remain available.

"Our sales have been very strong — we've had nine sales since the first of the year," says Sheri Putzke, a buyers agent at Windermere Real Estate/East, Inc. "With home prices on the rise, Hazelwood offers a great value for homebuyers."

The community of three- to five-bedroom homes includes 5.5 acres of protected greenbelt. It is located near everyday services such as PCC Natural Markets and Starbucks, as well as destination shopping at Redmond Town Center and outdoor recreation at Marymoor Park.

"Customers appreciate our close-in location, particularly our proximity to the Microsoft campus," Putzke says. "Another really nice feature is that we are in the Lake Washington School District, and the elementary school is within walking distance of the homes. Homeowners have really enjoyed having it close by. They can cut through the adjacent neighborhood and walk their children to school."

Some of the homes for sale at Hazelwood offer Cascade Mountain views, and others border the protected greenbelt for added privacy. Buyers can select from eight floor plans, including daylight-basement designs.

One of the homes is complete and ready for move-in. Priced at $625,950, the three-story home has four bedrooms, a covered deck off the kitchen, and an upstairs master suite that encompasses nearly half of the third floor.

Another home is scheduled for completion by the end of April. It is a two-story, three-bedroom design with a daylight basement. It features a bonus room and bedroom on the lower level and a great-room layout on the main floor.

The homes at Hazelwood feature hardwood flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel kitchen appliances, and five-piece master baths with soaking tubs. In addition, all homes include fireplaces, abundant windows and two-car garages.

"Homebuyers have been impressed with the amount of natural light in the main living spaces," says Bob Neal, a buyers agent at Keller Williams Eastside. "The homes have bright, open spaces that accommodate today's living style."

Hazelwood is built by CamWest, a Toll Brothers company. Through the builder's CamYes! program, buyers who purchase presale homes can work one-on-one with the community's project manager to personalize their rooms to fit their own styles.

The Hazelwood community includes two neighborhood parks, a basketball court and a play structure. A trail connects to the 10.9-mile Sammamish River Trail, which runs from Bothell to Marymoor Park and joins with the Burke-Gilman, Bear Creek and Tolt Pipeline trails.

Hazelwood is located between state Route 520 and Interstate 405 for convenient commutes.

Toll Brothers was named 2012 Builder of the Year by Professional Builder magazine, becoming the first builder to win the honor twice. Its purchase of CamWest Development, LLC — which has been building homes locally for more than 20 years — expanded the company's reach to the Pacific Northwest.

Founded in 1967, Toll Brothers is now building homes in 20 states.
