MAPLE VALLEY — Schneider Homes has introduced Phase Three of its ramblers and two-story homes at Sunridge at Elk Run, located in quiet Maple Valley and just minutes from the conveniences of Covington.
Homes at Sunridge at Elk Run feature the builder's popular main-level dens and upstairs bonus rooms, and have the design flexibility to create workshops, hobby rooms, crafting spaces and student study areas.
Offering homes with three or four bedrooms and at least 2.5 baths in various designs, Sunridge is committed not only to providing stylish space "but to making sure the space is offered wisely," says site sales manager Nancy Gower.
"At Sunridge, we're all about flexibility," she says. "When buyers see our model's flex room, between the garage and the kitchen, they go crazy. They tell me they can see their kids studying in there without being too far from grabbing a snack or some help from Mom or Dad in the kitchen, and they can even have a special place for the dog."
The model home has a professionally landscaped front yard that leads to an entry porch. Inside, the kitchen features a center island, maple cabinets with crown molding and slab granite countertops with backsplashes. Energy Star-rated recessed lighting illuminates GE stainless steel appliances.
Slab granite also surrounds the face of a gas fireplace — the focal point of a great room as ready for a night of festive entertaining as it is for a weekend snooze, Gower says.
The upper level's master suite has walk-in closets and a tile-surround soaking tub. Satin nickel or oil-rubbed bronze fixtures adorn all pieces, including the double-sink slab granite vanity and walk-in shower with glass door.
Sunridge homeowners can expect lower utility costs thanks to the homes' Energy Star features, including quick-recovery tankless gas water heaters and forced-air gas heating with summer fan.
All of the homes are covered by Schneider Homes' two-year new-home warranty.
Each home has a two- or three-car garage, and there are plans for community parking for oversized recreational vehicles and watercraft. A community park has a covered picnic gazebo, basketball hoops and an open lawn.
Gower describes Sunridge as a destination neighborhood that is attracting buyers from Renton, Issaquah and Bellevue. They have been drawn to Maple Valley's "gentle feeling of being in the country, off the main highway, yet incredibly accessible to Costco, Wal-Mart and all the things they need in nearby Covington and Maple Valley's Four Corners shopping area," she says.
