KIRKLAND — Four homes were sold in the past month and four others remain for sale at Summer Grove, located approximately 3 miles from downtown Kirkland and less than 9 miles from the Microsoft campus.

One of the homes recently released for sale is the community's model home, which features the two-story, three-bedroom Hawthorn floor plan.

"The home has an abundance of windows, which makes for very bright and open spaces," says John L. Scott Real Estate's Kelly Nutt, the listing agent at Summer Grove. "I like the high ceilings and the way the family room flows into the kitchen and dining space. The home has slab granite kitchen countertops, accent walls and a built-in media cabinet system. And because it's the model home, all of the appliances — including washer, dryer and refrigerator — are included, as are the plantation shutters.

"Upstairs, the master suite has a good-size walk-in closet, and the other two bedrooms have walk-in closets as well," he says.

The model home has a fully fenced backyard that is landscaped with drought-resistant plantings. It includes a propane-fuel fire pit.

The other three homes are being sold presale, and buyers can move in as soon as five months from the time of purchase. The three-story, four-bedroom homes feature the Lincoln floor plan.

"The Lincoln design has a bedroom with a closet and a full bath on the lower level, so family and friends visiting from out of town can have their own private room," Nutt says. "The kitchen, family and dining rooms are on the second floor, which gives you so much more open space. They incorporated a lot of windows in this plan — the family rooms are especially bright. And upstairs, the master suite has a great vaulted ceiling."

All four homes include Craftsman-inspired woodwork throughout, five-piece master baths with soaking tubs, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, stainless steel kitchen appliance packages and two-car garages.

One of the presale homes features views of the Cascade Mountains.

Summer Grove is built by CamWest, a Toll Brothers company. This month, the builder is celebrating its National Sales Event. Buyers who purchase a CamWest home through April 28 will receive up to $20,000 in credit to be used toward designer upgrades.

Buyers who purchase a presale home can work one-on-one with Lance Wiley, the project manager at Summer Grove, to customize their spaces. They can also select one of three backyard packages, which are included in the price of the homes.

The Clean and Green Outdoor Fireplace package is featured at the model home; the Fresh-to-Your-Table Gourmet Garden package includes a raised garden bed; and the Pacific Northwest Zen Garden package has a water feature.

Front yards are maintained by the homeowners' association, and the community features a private park with seating and play equipment.

Summer Grove is within walking distance of neighborhood amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants and services, as well as Juanita Beach Park.

Toll Brothers was named 2012 Builder of the Year by Professional Builder magazine, becoming the first builder to win the honor twice. Its purchase of CamWest Development, LLC — which has been building homes locally for more than 20 years — expanded the company's reach to the Pacific Northwest.

Founded in 1967, Toll Brothers is now building homes in 20 states.
