Foothills community includes variety of home styles

SNOQUALMIE — Kimball Creek is tailor-made for homebuyers who yearn for a mountain retreat but don't want to surrender their urban amenities. Located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the community offers a range of home types within a short stroll of restaurants and services.

"Kimball Creek is very unique in its proximity to [the city of] Snoqualmie, Snoqualmie Ridge and the many recreational activities available in the surrounding area," says Dennis Schauls, the listing agent at the community. "When people first visit our community, they don't realize just how close we are to everything they need. It's like an urban village with its own shops, restaurants and services, such as dental, medical and physical therapy offices."

A protected greenbelt surrounds Kimball Creek, and at the community's core is a park with picnic tables and a play structure.

"[Kimball Creek is] designed to take advantage of the green space and views of Mount Si and the Cascades," Schauls says. "In addition, because it has a cul-de-sac-inspired design with only one entrance, there is a very low traffic pattern, which adds to the peaceful setting."

Built by CamWest, a Toll Brothers company, the community's 85 homes are being sold presale with opportunities for buyers to personalize their homes. Kimball Creek will include single-family homes, townhomes, and two- and three-story duplexes.

"Our duplex homes are fee-simple, so you actually own the land the home is on," Schauls says. "Plus, the only shared wall between the two homes is at the garage. We have two available for sale: the Constance, priced at $366,050, and the Logan, priced at $366,450."

The duplexes feature 9-foot ceilings on the main living levels, as well as attached two-car tandem garages. Both of the available homes have views of Mount Si from the front yards, and the master suites and family rooms overlook the wooded green space in the back of the homes.

"The Constance plan is a user-friendly great-room concept," Schauls says. "Upstairs there is a large, open loft space. It works very well as a multipurpose room and can been used for everything from an informal TV room to a study room or play room.

"The Logan plan is a different concept. It's great for entertaining — [there is a] kitchen in the center of the home and a big island to gather around when having friends over or just cooking dinner with the family."

At Kimball Creek's retail village, residents can grab a quick bite to go or enjoy a more leisurely sit-down meal. Swedish Medical Center operates a clinic there. Also, the community's trails connect to nearby Snoqualmie Ridge, where homeowners have access to more restaurants and shops, a grocery store and a golf course.

"We're less than 15 minutes from the trails of Mount Si and 35 minutes from the slopes of Snoqualmie Pass," Schauls says.

Kimball Creek is less than 2.5 miles from Interstate 90, 17 miles from downtown Bellevue and 11 miles from Microsoft's Issaquah campus.
