BONNEY LAKE — Trilogy at Tehaleh, a resort community for buyers ages 55 or older, celebrates the grand opening of its two model homes with a special event today and Sunday.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, visitors can tour the models and enjoy an outdoor barbecue, live music by Dean Ratzman and cooking demonstrations by chef Nicole Aloni.
"Shea Homes is bringing advanced housing designs to Trilogy at Tehaleh to provide homebuyers with selections [that are] as unique as they are," says Richard Obernesser, area vice president of Shea Homes. "Simply put, baby boomers are looking to start a new chapter in their lives. Now is their chance to find the home they've always wanted, in a community offering contemporary living and access to expansive forest grounds right outside their front door."
The Trilogy neighborhood is in the master-planned community of Tehaleh, located northwest of Mount Rainer National Park and 20 miles east of downtown Tacoma.
"With the housing-market rebound in full swing, homebuyers in Washington are jumping at the chance to live their dream at Trilogy, making it the top-selling neighborhood within Tehaleh," Obernesser says.
He says the community's builder, Shea Homes, "has one mission — to provide exceptionally designed communities with thoughtfully designed homes that enhance people's lives.
"[The homes at Trilogy go] beyond the brick and mortar of home construction to push the envelope of what's possible. We are excited to share our latest designs that maximize the connection to the natural beauty of Tehaleh by bringing the feeling of the outdoors in."
Trilogy at Tehaleh includes five Coastal Collection floor plans. Prices range from $258,900 for the St. Tropez plan to $374,900 for the Sorrento. Architectural styles range from Craftsman bungalow to contemporary.
Popular features include covered decks and outdoor living spaces with fireplaces.
"Living in this community is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a lot of our residents," says Maria Salviati, Trilogy's sales manager. "It really sets the stage for everything they could want in the next phase of their life.
"We are beautifully situated in highland forest, and there are countless activities that cultivate a community where our members can live in harmony with the land."
Each neighborhood at Tehaleh is connected via trails or parks, creating a sense of connection and community, she says.
Visitors this weekend can enjoy a cup of coffee at the Post, Tehaleh's welcome center, featuring a Caffé D'arte coffee shop and café.
The community is designed to provide easy access to nearby conveniences. West of Tehaleh, shoppers will find South Hill Mall, as well as a local farmers market. Day-to-day shopping needs can be fulfilled in Bonney Lake, and events and fine dining are never hard to come by in downtown Tacoma.
