SEATTLE — The Briarcliff community is being built on Magnolia Bluff, and overlooks Puget Sound to the west and the Seattle skyline to the southeast. The homes will offer expansive views that stretch from snowcapped Mount Rainier to the rugged peaks of the Olympic Mountain range.
The neighborhood — which is the only new-home collection in Seattle's iconic Magnolia neighborhood — has been receiving rave reviews from both homebuyers and neighbors, according to Aubree Hazel, the listing agent for Briarcliff.
"Our neighbors are excited to see the progress of new-home construction underway, and our exterior designs harmonize with the established homes of the Magnolia neighborhood," she says. "Homebuyers like the fact that we have two [options]: three-story designs with a wrap-around front porch or backyard entertainment deck, and a more traditional two-story design with a backyard, some of which will extend 25 feet deep.
"We have five floor plans to choose from — most with multiple architectural style options — so we have something for everyone, depending on what they need."
Built by CamWest, a Toll Brothers company, the homes feature full-height kitchen backsplashes, wood-wrapped bathroom mirrors, kitchen cabinets topped by crown molding, and Craftsman trim framing the windows and doors.
Depending on the floor plan, homes may include lower-level rec rooms or private guest bedrooms, formal sitting or living rooms, wine storage, dining rooms flanked by stately columns, large open bonus rooms, and kitchen center islands for added prep and eating space.
Hazel says purchasing a Briarcliff home prior to completion allows home-owners to personalize their homes to suit their lifestyle needs.
"I have heard from a lot of homebuyers who have been shopping resales in the area that they are not finding the modern, open-concept spaces that we offer," she says. "Here, you can choose from a myriad of colors and finish materials to outfit the home to your style."
Briarcliff is located within 15 minutes of downtown Seattle. Discovery Park and a Metropolitan Market on 34th Avenue West are a half-mile away.
Additional conveniences can be found nearby in Magnolia's business district, which includes restaurants and boutiques such as Szmania's Restaurant & Bar, Serendipity Café & Lounge, Magnolia Village Pub, Magnolia's Bookstore and Leroux Fine Apparel.
"I've been walking the [Magnolia] neighborhood after work and have gotten to know the neighbors," says Hazel. "Everyone is so friendly, and the neighborhood kids are really sweet and courteous. It's clear that this is truly a neighborhood where people know each other; it's very warm and inviting. It's been a lot of fun getting out and meeting everyone.
"[Briarcliff is] sponsoring the Downtown Sailing Series at Elliott Bay Marina, which is next to the fabulous Palisades Restaurant, about a five-minute drive from Briarcliff. If you're at one of the Thursday night races, be sure to stop by our tent to say hi and to find out more about the Briarcliff community."
