BOTHELL — With its greenbelt backdrop, three neighborhood parks and fully maintained lawns, it's easy to see how Kimura Gardens got its name.
The community, located between historic downtown Bothell and bustling Mill Creek, has earned rave reviews from homeowners, who've praised its "homey feel" and "gorgeous natural setting," says Kelly Nutt, the listing agent at Kimura Gardens.
"We have 13 homes available for sale, two of which are ready for immediate move-in," he says. "Right now, the number of for-sale homes in this area is low, so our two move-in-ready homes are a great opportunity for anyone who wants to take advantage of today's low interest rates."
The three- to four-bedroom homes at Kimura Gardens are available in two types: two-story bungalows and larger courtyard homes.
"We have one three-bedroom, 2.5-bath [courtyard home with the] Snowberrry design available for quick delivery," Nutt says. "It includes a large galley-style kitchen, two patios and a two-car garage. It is on a corner homesite and is located across from one of our smaller parks, so it has a nice quiet outlook."
One of the neighborhood's model homes is move-in-ready and features the Iris floor plan. The three-bedroom, 2.5-bath, two-story bungalow includes a one-car garage.
"This home has a great backyard that backs up to a walking trail," Nutt says. "It also has a main-floor office and an open-style kitchen and family room, with large windows for lots of light. And because it's one of the models, you get the added bonus of custom-accent walls and hardwood floors that extend into the family room."
The kitchens in both homes include hand-shaved oak hardwood floors; full-height backsplashes; stainless steel appliances with gas cooktops; and 42-inch upper cabinets with matching crown molding. White-painted millwork is included throughout the homes.
"The remaining homes are being sold presale," Nutt says, "so you have the opportunity to personalize your home to your own taste and style if you prefer. We also have several homes that back up to the protected greenbelt for added privacy."
Homebuyers can choose from three backyard options: Fresh-To-Your-Table Gourmet Garden, Pacific Northwest Zen Garden, and Clean and Green Outdoor Fireplace. The gourmet garden features a raised planter bed for growing fresh herbs and vegetables. The Zen garden includes a water feature with rock outcropping for a tranquil retreat at home. And the fireplace package offers a no-mess propane-fueled firepit for year-round entertaining.
"The way the neighborhood is laid out and the addition of the backyard packages encourage home-owners to get out into the community," Nutt says. "Over the summer, it wasn't uncommon to see neighbors hosting backyard barbecues or get-togethers, or kids riding their bikes around the cul-de-sacs."
Built by CamWest, a Toll Brothers company, Kimura Gardens is approximately 2 miles from Interstate 405 and located within the Northshore School District. Nearby conveniences include the UW Bothell campus and the shops and services at Thrasher's Corner, Canyon Park, downtown Bothell and Mill Creek.
Toll Brothers was named 2012 Builder of the Year by Professional Builder magazine, becoming the first builder to win the honor twice.
Its purchase of CamWest Development, LLC — which has been building homes locally for more than 20 years — expanded the company's reach to the Pacific Northwest.
