BOTHELL — For weeks, the sign leading to The Reserve at Canyon Park has been counting down the days to the community's grand opening.

Today, the sign reads "Now open." From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Reserve at Canyon Park hosts a Winterfest celebration to mark the start of sales and the opening of its model home. The event will include a catered lunch, a latté and hot-cocoa cart, and a chance to enter to win $500 worth of ski or snowboard gear.

Six of the 30 homes planned at the community are available at prices starting at $550,000. A special incentive of $10,000 for upgrades is available on listed homes sold through Feb. 8.

"Our model home is unique and captivating," says Lisa Pugh, the director of sales and marketing for Village Life, the community's developer. "It has a masonry fireplace with stone all the way up to the ceiling. The home showcases finishes not previously available in the marketplace, and includes elegant glazed porcelains, new-to-the-market Calacatta slab and a visually stunning urban tile collection. Our elegant interiors set us apart from other builders in the area."

The three- to five-bedroom homes will range in size from 1,950 to 3,310 square feet and are available in nine floor plans. Home-owners who purchase in the presale stage can personalize their homes with their choice of colors and finishes.

"To assist homeowners in designing their own dream spaces, we've incorporated a design studio into the model home so you can meet with our designer on-site and get a true feel for how the finishes you select will work within the spaces," Pugh says.

The floor plans include features such as a bedroom on the main level, second-floor bonus rooms, covered outdoor spaces and three-car garages.

"The floor plans offer a lot of flexibility to accommodate multi-generational families or evolving lifestyle needs," says Tonya Tye, the listing agent at The Reserve at Canyon Park. "The kitchens are very open and offer a lot of cabinet space. Some of the homes feature a great-room layout and some have dining rooms, which, coupled with a butler's pantry, give you a sense of formality."

Master suites feature double doors, vaulted ceilings, and master baths with porcelain tile throughout and custom-framed mirrors.

Additional finishes include slab quartz kitchen countertops, hardwood flooring and stainless steel appliances.

The Reserve at Canyon Park includes a native growth area, a play structure and walking paths throughout the community. The newly opened Miners Corner Park, with sports court, playground and trails, is located nearby.

"This is a fabulous area — it's close to I-5 and I-405 and is central to restaurants and shopping," Tye says. "I love to bike, and I can hop on the Burke-Gilman Trail in downtown Bothell and ride all the way into Redmond or the Woodinville wineries, or head south into Seattle. You don't get bored around here."
