BELLEVUE — According to Mark Winningham, what makes The Enclave at Newport Hills stand out from other neighborhoods is how comfortable it makes you feel.
"Because it's an intimate collection of homes within a larger, established neighborhood, you get a sense of familiarity that is hard to recreate in a large, brand-new community," says Winningham, the community sales manager at The Enclave. "There's a comfort level here. You can easily picture kids riding their bikes to the elementary school — which is only three blocks away — or neighbors heading over to each other's homes for weekend barbecues. I think people miss having those types of experiences and connections today."
Built by CamWest, a Toll Brothers company, The Enclave is a collection of 10 five-bedroom, three-bath homes located in Bellevue's Newport Hills area. This weekend marks the opening of the neighborhood's sales center.
"Of our 10 homes, four are already spoken for, and I expect the remaining homes to sell quickly," Winningham says.
Buyers can choose from five home designs, all of which include main-floor guest suites with full baths, which are ideal for out-of-town visitors or multigenerational families. The homes will have flexible second-floor bonus rooms and kitchens with islands.
Depending on the floor plan, homes also may include formal living and dining rooms, three-car garages, covered front porches, dual walk-in closets, coffered ceilings or extended sitting areas in master suites.
"Each exterior is different and unique. Toll Brothers' architectural designs create a beautiful streetscape," Winningham says.
The homes are being sold prior to completion, so buyers will be able to work with a professional designer at the builder's design studio to personalize their spaces.
"You can style the home to your taste by choosing cabinet colors, flooring, lighting, window coverings and appliances," Winningham says.
The Enclave borders a protected greenbelt to the west, adding to its intimate feel.
"We still have homes available that back to the greenbelt for more privacy," Winningham says. "And right around the corner from our community is Newport Hills Park. It's a nice little neighborhood park with sports fields and a children's play area."
The community is within walking distance of Hazelwood Elementary School, and a middle school is scheduled to open nearby in 2016.
The Enclave is close to everyday conveniences such as grocery stores, banks and restaurants, and Interstate 405 is less than a mile away. Microsoft's Bellevue offices are less than 8 miles away, and the Redmond campus is less than 11 miles.
"This is a wonderful location along the Coal Creek corridor," Winningham says. "We're just a couple of minutes off the freeway, so it's easy to get to downtown Bellevue, and we are just south of I-90 if you're headed to Seattle. If you prefer to take public transit, we're also near a park-and-ride lot."
