Finding work you're passionate about is too important to leave to chance, says Seattle-based career coach Curt Rosengren, a self-proclaimed "passion catalyst" who helps people figure out what work gets them excited in the morning.
Besides, "In today's economy, you need every competitive edge you can get," Rosengren says. And being enthusiastic about the work you do -- whether you're currently employed or between jobs -- is extremely attractive to employers.
What I love about Rosengren's coaching strategy is that he uses practical, nuts-and-bolts tactics to help people get to the heart of what's sometimes perceived (incorrectly, I believe) as a woo-woo pursuit: finding work that makes you happy and fulfilled, as well as reintroducing passion into a career that's grown stale.
If this sounds like something you want in on, you're in luck. Today at noon Pacific time, Rosengren is offering a free, one-hour teleclass on the topic.
In this virtual class, you'll learn how to identify what tasks, topics, and aspects of your work most engage and energize you. You'll also get tips for reshaping your current job so it excites you more, setting a course toward a career path that you're most passionate about, and making sure you stay energized for the long haul.
For more information about how to phone in to this class, or to register now, visit this page on Rosengren's site.
