Your car is cool. I remember they used to be pretty common, now they're very hard to come by. My friend's dad had one....I thought the digital speedometer at the time was way awesome. Keep driving it!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...but those caddy styles are hideous! By the same token, I love el caminos, and most people I know can't stand them. Each to his own...;)

Don't really consider a car built in 1983 a classic, but I guess I'm getting old.

I disagree with most of you. I think the design and style of this Cadillac was awesome. The sloped rear deck was very different and classy for the time.fzr

I think your car is great!! i think it's low of these people making negitive comment's about your car--it's a true classic and built to last, not to mention the great style of the cadillac seville whom these people can not understand, it just show's what kind of people they must be--not very nice. your car is soooo sweet, pleasure to see such a great car-- can tell by the look of it you must really look after it.

The 1980 Seville was the last car designed under GM's legendary director of design Bill Mitchell and it was one of his most flamboyant ever.

Mitchell had a penchant for crisp lines; he likened them to the creases on a well tailored suit and the '80 Seville was one his most crisply rendered shapes ever. He remarked of the design that if one is going to steal they might as well rob a bank instead of a grocery store. This comment was an acknowledgment that the bustle trunk design was lifted from the old Hooper-bodied Rolls Royces.

Although the '80 Seville was controversial in its day and clearly remains so today, it represents one of the last great Cadillacs. I view it as the end of an era when Cadillacs were glamourously designed and made a statement.

The Cadillacs that followed this Seville were smaller, more subtle and European in design and their bland designs helped to start Cadillac's sales decline that continues today. But these Sevilles and the companion Eldorado from the same era represent the end of an era of striking Cadillacs that got attention everywhere they went.

It was like an ugly duckling that turned into a beautiful swan. I still rember the firt time I saw one.

They also had some beautiful two tone color combinations
