Don't skimp on tires! You need and use your car almost daily. You don't want to be on the side of the road with a flat. It's a dangerous place.
Purchase Michelin tires or the best brand you think there is. It's a wise investment for many years to come.

As Len says, do NOT skimp on tires. Keep in mind that if a tire fails, death could be the result. A little research goes a long way here. Also, just going with the service center's recommendation isn't necessarily a bad idea, though keep in mind they want you to spend as much $ as possible.

Nothing affects the performance of a sports car/sedan more than tires. DO NOT skimp on tires. An extra $100/tire is Nothing compared to the loss in performance you get from a cheaper tire. I can't wait to get my winter tires off and get back to some good rubber w/ a stiff sidewall.
