'Green Hornet' car gets updates for film
Seth Rogen dropped by Comic Con in San Diego last month to debut the Black Beauty, a modified 1965 Chrysler Crown Imperial he'll drive in "The Green Hornet." Rogen co-wrote the script and will star in the upcoming big-screen relaunch of the comic book and TV show about a masked crime-fighter. The vehicle is an homage to the Black Beauty driven by Van Williams in the original series. Rogen said the car's weapons -- which include rockets, mini-guns and a "big flamethrower" -- were upgraded for the film. The original Black Beauty from the 1960s TV show was equipped with explosive charges, gas nozzles and a scanner.

Study finds interest in Chinese, Indian cars
A new study has found 15 percent of new car buyers in the U.S. would consider purchasing their next vehicle from China, and 11 percent would consider buying a car from India, without knowing specific brands or vehicles. The study, by automotive research firm AutoPacific, also found that those considering Chinese and Indian vehicles are more likely to currently own Japanese and Korean brands, indicating that these brands may have more competition from the new entries than domestic brands.
