About 2 years ago a gentleman from Long Island, NY was given a new Volvo because his Volvo P1800 had travelled over 1,000,000 miles commuting to and from work.

Nice P1800.
I've got an '81 Mazda RX-7 with 245,000 miles on it (second engine, of course). And another Mazda with 233,000 miles on it . Both are running strong.

Do you know what VOLVO means in Latin?
I roll...
I used to roll in 'em too back in the early 70's had a MG yellow 1967 1800S a white '62 122S, (running) parts car, a white '63 122s and a rebuilt buy a Boeing engineer red 1965 Volvo 122S. I owned all of the Volvo's at the same time! I did not want to have anything to do with the boxy styling Volvo years of 1972-1998. But when the new S series came out, WOW the styling was back. The shoulders were back that retro look to the Volvo AMAZON years was there in the Volvo S60 which is our family car now a silver 2003 VOLVO S60 "V' for Victory! But of all the old cars in my past i miss my Volvo 1800S the most.
I envy you Bill

Sweet ride!
Every time I see one of these on the road- which isn't all that often- I find myself craning my neck to see if Roger Moore is behind the wheel. Same thing when I see a '76-'87 Espirit. So far I've been disappointed every time.

I drove a 1964 P1800S back in the late 60's. Great ride and always got comments. Pretty rare then and even more so now. I wish I still had it.

Bought a new 1963 Red P1800 in San Francisco. Moved back to Washington State right after. Seat belts were a questionable addition to cars in the US at that time, so after negotiations, got them sent to Seattle and installed.
It was a deliciously cool and beautifully designed car. Later owned a dark green '64 P1800 and drove it across country several times. Both cars were incredible drives that made people turn their heads!

Would love to meet up with Mr. Robertson and his Volvo. I also live in Tacoma and I own a spectacular 1968 Volvo P1800S. I would love to put our cars side by side and get some photos. His 1800 looks great in that silver colour but I do love mine in British Racing Green..... Hopefully we will pass eack other on a street one day.
